Freeport To Host COVID-19 Pop-Up Vaccine Site

Doses of Pfizer and J&J will be available during the four-hour event.

FREEPORT, NY— A pop-up COVID-19 vaccine event is scheduled for Freeport on Saturday.

The Bethel AME Church will host the event from noon to 4 p.m., Gov. Kathy Hochul's office announced.

Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available.

It is a partnership with the National Coalition of Black Churches.

Additionally, Amazon gift cards will be offered as an incentive for getting the shot.

Through Tuesday, more than 63 percent of 12 to 15-year-olds and 73 percent of 16 to 25-year-olds have gotten at least one vaccine dose, the state said.
