Freeport Hosts 2nd Annual Pride On The Mile For All Ages
Saturday's event starts with an opening ceremony at 11:45 a.m. on Woodcleft Avenue.
FREEPORT, NY — Pride Month comes to Freeport, as the Nautical Mile hosts its Second Annual Pride on the Mile.
The Saturday, June 15 event features a wide range of activities, including drag story hour, face painting and a magician.
Organizers have scheduled 12 hours of live music across three venues and a bar crawl with a dozen bars/restaurants participating.

Freeport Water Taxi will provide discounted rides.

The events kick off with the 11:45 a.m. Opening Ceremony in front of Sparkle on Stage on Woodcleft Avenue.
From noon to 6 p.m. a vendor market will be in full swing at the esplanade next to Off The Hook Bar & Grill.
This year’s Pride has generated even more business investment and community interest than the last year's event, organizers said, allowing them to diversify the events and expand Pride’s reach.
