Man Arrested In Fatal Nassau Shooting: Police

A 23-year-old was shot to death, and a Connecticut man was arrested a day later, police say.

FREEPORT, NY — A man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Freeport, Nassau police said.

Kyzer Langley, 20, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was accused of shooting Tyrone Williams, 23, of Baldwin, around 2 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Freeport police responded to a shot spotter activation near West Seaman Avenue, police said. Officers found Williams and brought him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Langley was charged with second-degree murder, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is set to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
