Man Struck By Vehicle, Critically Hurt Crossing Merrick Road: Police
It happened Monday evening near Guy Lombardo Boulevard in Freeport, police said.

FREEPORT, NY — A man was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Merrick Road in Freeport on Monday evening, Nassau police said.
The victim, 40, suffered trauma to his head and body. He was brought to an area hospital and is in critical condition, police said.
He was hit by a 2006 Toyota Scion heading eastbound on Merrick Road near Guy Lombardo Boulevard, authorities said.
