Mercy Hospital Security Guard Identified, On Life Support After Attack: Report
He went into cardiac arrest after the attack, police say.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — A security guard who was attacked while working at Mercy Hospital last week has been identified and was on life support as of Wednesday night, CBS News has reported
According to Nassau County police, 62-year-old Gardy Coriolan went into cardiac arrest after a man attacked him early in the morning of Oct. 16. The man who attacked him was identified as Freeport resident Eduard Lopez; he was arrested and charged with assault, police said.
CBS News reported that Coriolan is a 40-year law enforcement veteran.
