New York State Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos Endorses Siela Bynoe

The Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos, has announced his endorsement of Siela Bynoe in the upcoming Democratic primary for the Sixth District State Senate seat. The Deputy Speaker praised Bynoe's deep roots in the community, her understanding of the needs of the district, and her long history of delivering results.

Bynoe is a first-generation American from an immigrant family and a housing and education advocate who has lived on Long Island for over 50 years. She has a deep understanding of the challenges facing the district, having served as an Assistant Director of the North Hempstead Housing Authority and Executive Director of the Huntington Housing Authority. She has also served two terms on the Westbury School Board and is currently a Nassau County Legislator, already doing the people’s work.

In her roles as a public servant, Bynoe has consistently fought for the needs of her constituents. She has secured millions of dollars in funding for affordable housing, implemented smart policies to improve education, and fought for increased mental health services. She has also been a strong advocate for youth, securing funding for scholarships and internships.
