NYC Man Caught With Loaded Gun In BMW In Long Island Traffic Stop: Cops

He failed to signal while changing lanes numerous times at around 11 p.m. on Friday, Nassau police said.

BALDWIN, NY — A Queens man was caught with a loaded gun inside his BMW after he was pulled over in Baldwin on Friday night, Nassau police said.

Officers saw a gray 2014 BMW near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Bixby Drive failing to signal while changing lanes numerous times at around 11 p.m., police said, adding that while the officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop, they found a loaded
handgun.

The BMW's driver, Tyreice Demar Reid, 21, was placed under arrest without incident and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, both felonies, and multiple traffic law infractions, police said.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, and was released on his own recognizance, online court records show.
