Roosevelt School District Shines at 61st Annual Newsday Marching Band Festival

Marching Band and Majorettes Represent the Community with Pride at Esteemed Event

The Roosevelt High School Marching Band and Majorettes proudly represented the Roosevelt School District at the 61st Annual Newsday Marching Band Festival, held from October 21 to 23.

The talented students demonstrated their hard work, dedication and school pride before a panel of judges and thousands of spectators at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex during the second night of the festival on October 22. With spirited performances and precision on display, the students stood out and captured the hearts of all in attendance.

“The Roosevelt High School Marching Band and Majorettes continue to make us proud with their commitment to excellence,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “Their outstanding performance at this year’s festival reflects the teamwork, discipline, and creativity that define our students.”
