Roosevelt School District Welcomes the New Academic Year with Back to School Fair
Event Includes Supplies Distribution, Staff Meet-and-Greets and Celebration of Community for Students and their Families
The Roosevelt School District recently kicked off the 2025–2026 school year with its vibrant and joyous Back to School Fair, welcoming students and families from across the district for a day of community, support and celebration.
“The goal of our Back to School Fair was to ensure our students and their families have the resources and supplies they need to excel,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shawn Wightman. “It was also all about building excitement and confidence in our students as they get ready to start the academic year and embrace our new theme: Together, We Transform!”
The event, held in the Roosevelt High School parking lot, brought together families from across the district. It featured a free distribution of backpacks and a variety of essential school supplies, helping families prepare for a successful year ahead. Administrators, teachers, Board of Education members and community groups were also on hand to meet with students and their families and provide them with vital resources and information.
