Woman Assaulted, Threatened With Gun In Nassau: Police
Darryl Goins, 64, faces charges that include menacing and assault, police said.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Freeport man was arrested for an assault in Roosevelt on Wednesday night.
Darryl Goins, 64, is accused of physically assaulting and threatening a 29-year-old woman with a gun, police said.
The assault took place in the vicinity of Greenwich Avenue and Nassau Road. Goins fled and the victim refused medical attention, police said.

Goins was located in Amityville where he was placed under arrest. A firearm was recovered, police said.
He is charged with second-degree menacing, third-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm, police said. Goins is due to be arraigned on Friday.
