1 Dead After LI Man, Woman, Found With Gunshot Wounds: Cops

UNIONDALE, NY — A woman was fatally shot, and a man is seriously injured after a domestic incident in Uniondale on Sunday, Nassau County Police said.

At about 7:06 a.m., law enforcement responded to a 911 call for a violent domestic incident involving a handgun at a Newton Avenue residence.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 43-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, both unresponsive with gunshot injuries, police said.

Both were taken to a nearby local hospital and treated for their injuries.

The woman was pronounced deceased by hospital staff at 7:49 am, police said. The man is listed in serious but stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
