Brooklynite Bites Officer While Resisting Arrest At Roosevelt Field Mall: Police

Department officials confirmed Thursday that the man was banned from the mall premises

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — A 54-year-old man bit a police officer on the shoulder Wednesday night while resisting arrest, officers say.

Police say they found Brooklyn resident Michael Dubrow at Roosevelt Field Mall just before 8 p.m. when responding to a trespassing complaint. Upon finding Dubrow on mall property, police say they attempted to arrest him at which point he became combative and bit the officer on the shoulder.

The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and Dubrow was placed under arrest. He is now facing charges of second degree assault, second degree burglary, third degree burglary, third degree criminal trespassing and resisting arrest, as well as an open Nassau County warrant. Department officials declined to specify what charges could accompany the open warrant Thursday afternoon.
