Cops: Men Charged in Hempstead Assault, Robberies
Five men were charged in two robberies in January and an assault in March in Hempstead, police said.

Three men and two teenagers that were caught smoking pot Tuesday were also charged in an assault and two robberies in Hempstead, according to Nassau County Police.
At 9:35 p.m., the five were seen inside a car on Clinton Street in Hempstead passing around a marijuana joint, cops said.
Investigators later implicated the five in two robberies, one at Orchard and High Streets and one at Jackson and Clinton Streets, on January 30 in Hempstead, police said. They were also charged in a March 28 assault that happened on Main Street, cops said.

Kevin Ramirez, 18, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of second-degree robbery.
Kevin Hernandez, 20, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault.

Mitchell Hernandez, 18, was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery.
David Valle, 16, was charged with four counts of second-degree robbery.
A 16-year-old was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, as were the other four involved.
The five were arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
