Elderly Man Hit By Truck In Nassau, Seriously Injured
Police say the man suffered severe injuries after he was hit by a box truck. The driver remained at the scene.
FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — An elderly man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a truck in Franklin Square Tuesday afternoon, Nassau County police said.
According to police, the 86-year-old man was hit by a box truck at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike at 11:05 a.m. The man suffered severe trauma and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the truck, a 34-year-old man, remained at the scene.
