Man Hit, Killed By NICE Bus: Nassau Police
Police say the man was out for a run at night when he was hit by the bus.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man was hit by a NICE Bus and killed while running in Hempstead Monday night.
According to Nassau County police, the 35-year-old man was running south on Main Street at 11:06 p.m. when he was hit by the bus, which was heading west on West Columbia Street.
The man suffered serious trauma and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor. Police have not yet released his name.
