Police Closing Stewart Avenue For Funeral
The road will be closed in both directions for two hours this morning. Drivers should use a different route.
GARDEN CITY, NY — The Nassau County police will be closing part of Stewart Avenue this morning.
The police will be closing the road in both directions between Oxford Boulevard and Nassau Boulevard from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
The road is being closed for the funeral of NCPD officer Matthew A. Perlungher, who died on Aug. 4 from 9/11-related illness.
