Shoplifters Pepper Sprayed Security Guard Trying To Stop Them: NCPD
Police say the women were working with others to steal perfume from a store in the Roosevelt Field Mall.

UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police are searching for three people who tried to rob a store in the Roosevelt Field Mall on Dec. 23, and assaulted an employee.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman working as a loss prevention officer at Nordstrom saw two other women take three bottles of perfume from the fragrance section. Shortly after, one of the women gave one of the bottles to a man, who hid it in a shopping bag. The other two bottles were hidden in a shopping bag by one of the women.
The three people then left the store without paying for the perfume, police said.

The loss prevention officer approached the three people, and police say a fight ensued in the parking deck. One of the women sprayed pepper spray into the eyes of the loss prevention officer, but she was able to recover the merchandise.
All three fled the parking lot in a red Nissan Altima.
