Things Remembered To Close All Long Island Stores This Weekend

The purveyor of personalized gifts is closing all of its stores, including the three in Long Island malls.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Things Remembered, the store known for selling personalized and engraved gifts, is going out of business and closing all of its stores this weekend, including three on Long Island.

The sudden announcement was made without any fanfare. The store's website has been effectively shut down, and now only has a message about the company's "new chapter."

"Our company is embarking on an exciting new chapter," the website said. "Stay tuned for more information about where you can find an even greater selection of personalized products in the coming days."

Things Remembered had locations in three Long Island malls: the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, the Roosevelt Field Mall in Uniondale and the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2019 and was purchased by Enesco, LLC. Last month, it was announced that Enesco was purchased by Ad Populum, LLC.
