Uniondale Couple ID'D In Murder-Suicide: Police

The man and woman were found unresponsive with gunshot wounds on Sunday, police say.

UNIONDALE, NY — A man who was found seriously injured alongside his wife after a domestic incident in their Uniondale residence has succumbed to his injuries, Nassau County Police said.

At about 7:06 a.m. on Sunday,law enforcement responded to a 911 call for a violent domestic incident involving a handgun at a Newton Avenue residence.

Upon arrival, they discovered Vanessa Johnson-Williams, 43, and Ralph Williams, 45, both unresponsive with gunshot injuries, police said.

According to detectives, during the course of a domestic disturbance, Williams intentionally caused the death of his wife, and then committed suicide, police said

Both were taken to a nearby local hospital and treated for their injuries.

Johnson-Williams was later pronounced dead by hospital staff, police said. Williams was in serious but stable condition on Sunday.

He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, police said.
