Bayville Man Drove Stolen Car, Resisted Arrest: PD
The BMW X1 was stolen from a Locust Valley home the day before, police say.

A Bayville man is accused of driving a stolen vehicle, refusing to pull over for authorities and resisting arrest on Friday night.
According to authorities, detectives attempted to pull over a BMW X1 driven by 36-year-old Thomas Hogya after seeing him make multiple vehicle and traffic law violations while traveling westbound on Northern Boulevard in Roslyn at 11:57 p.m.
Police say Hogya refused to pull over and continued southbound on Mineola Avenue, where he was stopped on Oakdale Road in Roslyn Heights and arrested following a struggle with officers.

An investigation determined the BMW was reported stolen on Thursday from a home in Locust Valley.
Hogya was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless driving, resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
