Cause Revealed In Fire That Destroyed NBA Announcer Mike Breen's LI Home
A fire department source revealed the origin of the devastating September blaze that destroyed the Knicks commentator's home in North Hills.

NORTH HILLS, NY — The cause of the fire that destroyed NBA announcer Mike Breen's North Hills home on Sept. 26 was determined to be accidental, a Nassau County fire marshal told Patch.
According to Nassau County Fire Marshal Michael Uttaro, the blaze was ignited from improperly disposed staining material.
Uttaro told TMZ on Thursday that “the house was under construction...When all those materials are stored in a pile, they can combust causing a rapid fire.”
