Christmas Album Recorded in Glen Cove

Glen Cove's Tiki Recording Studios played role in Henry Golis' holiday album.

Christmas spirit meets Glen Cove. That’s one way to describe Henry Golis’ holiday album: “Friends of Henry Golis: Wish You A Merry Christmas.”

The music was recorded at Tiki Recording Studios in Glen Cove and engineered by Fred Guarino.

It was the third of five albums by Golis, a retired government worker and Albertson resident now in his 50s.

Also performing on the album: The Jordanaires, Larry Foster (Kirby Stone Four), Val Martinez (Four Seasons) and Dick Heatherton (WCBS-FM).

While the CD was first released in 2006, it’s still relevant. It’s local right down to the cover art. The cover photo was taken at the Port Washington house from the 1947 film “Miracle on 34th Street.”
