Drugs, $100K In Cash Seized From Glen Cove Woman's Home: PD

The woman, accused of dealing drugs in the area, faces 12 felony drug charges.

A Glen Cove woman faces numerous felony drug charges after four pounds of marijuana, several other types of drugs and $100,000 in cash were seized from her home on Friday, police say.

According to authorities, Glen Cove Police executed a search warrant on a Putnam Avenue home after receiving community complaints and witnessing two separate individuals leaving the home who were later charged with drug possession. The ground floor apartment was searched and the resident, 52-year-old Vicki M. Goldberg, was charged with 12 felony drug charges, police say.

"This individual had recently moved into the Glen Cove area," Det. Lt. John Nagle said in a press release. "Once the department learned of the alleged drug dealing the department acted swiftly and was able to make the arrest and prevent some very dangerous drugs from getting out into the community."

The following was recovered in the search:

  • Four pounds of marijuana, a quantity of Psilocybin (Mushrooms), Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), Lysergic acid (LSD), Alprazolam (Xanax), over 75 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vaping cartridges, THC wax and THC candy edibles;
  • $100,000 in cash;
  • Digital scales, money counter and other drug paraphernalia.

Goldberg was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seven counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marjiuana.

She was arraigned Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
