Fire at Glen Cove Warehouse Sends Flames 30 Feet Into Air [Video]
Gas tanks inside the warehouse exploded during the overnight blaze. Hundreds of firefighters, including marine units, battled the flames.

GLEN COVE, NY – A monstrous fire ripped through a plumbing supply warehouse in Glen Cove Monday night.
The fire at Cove Plumbing Supply Co. at 26 Morris Ave. started around 10:30 p.m. More than 100 firefighters, including numerous marine units, battled the blaze. It took over three hours to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
Propane and acetylene tanks inside the warehouse exploded during the fire, sending flames 30 feet into the air, ABC 7 reported.

"It's always a difficult task to get a fire under control of this magnitude," Glen Cove Fire Department Chief Robert Marino told the TV station. "As long as nobody got hurt and everyone goes home safe, that's the bottom line."
