Firefighters Beat Back House Fire In Glen Cove

GLEN COVE, NY — A late-night blaze at a home on Glendale Avenue triggered response from seven fire departments on Saturday. The emergency began shortly before 11 p.m. when former fire chief Rodni Leftwich put out the call for a house fire. Over the next two-and-a-half hours firefighters battled a blaze described as a "fully involved structure fire" with "numerous hot spots," according to a Facebook post from the City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.
