GLEN COVE, NY — Glen Cove High School's Class of 2020 celebrated their graduation Friday following months of uncertainty surrounding graduation ceremonies in the state. The outdoor commencement ceremony marked the end of a unique and memorable school year.

Graduates were split into five socially distanced ceremonies and were allowed to invite two guests. The students were spaced 6 feet from classmates and wore masks, a small tradeoff that did not put a damper on the excitement as students smiled and cheered as they walked onto the football field.

Principal Antonio Santana and Superintendent of Schools Maria Rianna reminded students the world is theirs to conquer, and that their dedication, kindness and positive outlook can take them anywhere.
