Glen Cove Residents Support 'Amanda The Groomer' After House Fire
On Monday, the Pagnillo family lost "most of their belongings" in a fire at their Glen Cove house. Neighbors are raising money for them.
GLEN COVE, NY — A Monday evening house fire in Glen Cove left a family needing to "rebuild their lives after losing their home and its contents," a friend said in a GoFundMe fundraiser campaign launched to help.
Julianne Luisa Doherty McIntyre wrote that the "terrible house fire last night on Nancy Court" happened at the "home of Amanda the groomer."
Amanda Pagnillo is known in Glen Cove for her dog grooming business, she explained.

"Unfortunately the family lost most, if not all, of their belongings," McIntyre wrote.
The Pagnillos "need help right now to rebuild their lives after losing their home and its contents.[...] The funds will go toward new clothes, new furniture and baby needs as Amanda has a baby on the way."

Pagnillo's 13-year -old son also needs clothes, McIntyre explained.
