Glen Cove Students Discover the Universe
Glen Cove High School science students and teachers participated in the Vanderbilt Museum's Discovering the Universe: Mobile Classroom.

Glen Cove High School students discovered the universe with a presentation by a local museum earlier this month.
Science students and teachers participated in the Vanderbilt Museum’s Discovering the Universe: Mobile Classroom Dec. 10, according to a school news release.
Throughout the day, nearly 100 students in their respective science classes (ENL environmental science, environmental science, self-contained living environment and honors physics) visited the mobile classroom, which is housed in a high-tech, 37-foot recreational vehicle, the release states.

Under the supervision of two engaging museum educators, students experienced five educational and hands-on modules including light, telescopes, digital imaging, the 3-D universe and gravity.
