Greenvale Company Closing Production Plant, 98 Workers Affected

GREENVALE, NY — Slant/Fin Corporation in Greenvale will be laying off nearly 100 employees, starting this month, according to a Work Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing.

The heating equipment supplier will be closing its plant due to the "ceasing of the company's production and other aspects of its baseboard lines operations," the filing stated.

In total, 98 employees are affected by the plant's closure. Initial separations will begin on March 31. The remaining workers will be laid off on June 6, June 30, or July 31.
