Loggia Glen Cove Recognizes Student Achievement

Italian Heritage Celebrated with Youth Honors at December Gathering

GLEN COVE, NY — Members, trustees, and friends of Loggia Glen Cove #1016 gathered on December 3, 2025, for the lodge’s monthly meeting, which included special recognition of two local students in observance of Italian Heritage Month.

President Marisa Cipriano Gambino holds artwork by Glen Cove fifth grader Sienna Quiroz, which was recognized during the lodge’s December meeting.

During the meeting, Glen Cove fifth grader Sienna Quiroz was recognized for her award-winning artwork, and Michael Renga, a student at Glen Cove High School, was acknowledged for winning the school’s Italian Heritage Essay Contest. Both students were recognized for their creativity, thoughtful expression, and engagement with Italian-American heritage.

“It’s always special when we have the opportunity to encourage young people to explore their creativity and take pride in their heritage,” said President Marisa Cipriano Gambino. “Recognizing students like Sienna and Michael is a reminder that these traditions continue with the next generation.”

Gambino was joined by 1st Vice President Ralph Ciano, 2nd Vice President Rocco Totino, Immediate Past President Joseph Gallo, District II Deputy John Simonetti, and members of the board and lodge in congratulating the students and their families.
