Mayoral Debate, Homecoming This Week

Important and notable events this week.

Here's a rundown of important and notable events this week around Glen Cove:

James Norton Council Knights of Columbus Annual Golf Outing to be held at the Tam O'Shanter Club Monday. Registration at 10:30.  Shot Gun Start at 12 Noon.
Lunch, Dinner and Open Bar. $175 per person.  Giveaways, Raffles and more.

City council will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in City Hall.

Supermarket Bingo at Glen Cove Knights of Columbus on Thursday. Doors open at 6PM.  Bingo Starts at 7PM.

Incumbent Mayor Ralph Suozzi (D) will debate challenger Reginald Spiinello (R) on Friday at 7 p.m. at Glen Cove High School. 

On Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mayor Ralph Suozzi along with the Glen Cove Police Department and EMS are offering Glen Cove residents the opportunity to drive up and drop off potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to the Glen Cove Police Headquarters located at 1 Bridge Street. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Children 12 and under can start the day at the Spooky Story Hour at the Regency at Glen Cove at 12 Noon, then gather at the Staples Center parking lot at 1 PM to march down School and Glen Streets to Pulaski Street.
Afterwards, safe trick-or-treat at participating merchants with the BID poster in their window. The Fun Bus returns to Village Square! Costume Contest, categories: 'Age 4 and Under', 'Age 5 to 8', and 'Age 9 to 12'. A pie eating contest, an apple pie bake-off, and Pumpkin Carving Demonstration by Maniac Pumpkin Carvers of Brooklyn! Participants must register by visiting the website www.glencovedowntown.org

Glen Cove High School Homecoming parade on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. Homecoming game against Bethpage at 6 p.m.
