North Shore Animal League America’s Walk & Wag This Sunday

Pets and people of all ages are encouraged to join and walk at the 9th annual event to raise money to save the lives of homeless animals.

GLEN COVE, NY – North Shore Animal League America’s annual Walk & Wag will take place on Sunday in an effort to help save the lives of homeless animals.

People of all ages and their pets are welcome to walk the one-mile loop at Garvies Point in Glen Cove.

This dog and kid-friendly walk will raise funds and awareness for Animal League America’s no-kill, animal rescue mission, according to a release.

There will also be a vendor fair, activities, food and drinks for humans and animals, music, pet-friendly shopping, and an adoption unit with adoptable puppies and kittens.

Sam Rosalie from Elvis Duran & The Morning Show is the 2025 Walk & Wag Ambassador, and will be there to cheer on and walk alongside all, a release said.

A senior labrador mix named Bruce Wayne, who recovered from severe skin issues, is the 2025 Walk & Wag Help Me Heal Hero and will be at the walk, too.

According to NSALA, they have raised over $70,000 so far, with a goal of $100,000.

The walk will be held rain or shine at 10 a.m. at Garvies Point in Glen Cove. The mobile adoption unit will be there from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
