In Our Town of Halloween
Ghosts and ghouls were spotted wandering the streets during the Glen Cove Downtown BID) Halloween Parade and Festival.
Beware! There’s something strange in the neighborhood: ghosts and ghouls were spotted wandering the streets during the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District’s (BID) Halloween Parade and Festival.
All monster-kind paraded down the street towards a spooky festival downtown for bounce houses, trick-or-treating, music, games and more! This is Halloween in Glen Cove.
After showing off their killer costumes in the parade, kids went trick-or-treating business to business collecting a sweet candy haul.

With full bags of candy to enjoy it was off to the different games and activities around downtown. Candy corn bowling, witches hat ring toss and pumpkin mini golf were some of the games kids could play for a chance to win prizes.
Gremlins could work off a sugar rush in the bouncy house, on a pony ride, by petting some furry zoo animals, painting pumpkins, and dancing to music with the DJ. People could grab cotton candy to refuel in time for the costume contests.

Everyone had the opportunity to show off their costumes with four costume contest categories: ages 0-4, 5-8, 9-12 and best group costume. Prizes were awarded to first place, second place and most creative in each age category, and a prize was awarded to first place for best group costume. The contest was judged by sponsors Mary Stanco, Angelina Stanco-Stone of How Can I Help Elder Care, and Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck.
The event was a graveyard smash and goblins all returned home with prizes, full bags and bellies, and memories of a spook-tacular time.
