Students at Gribbin School in Glen Cove enjoyed a magical experience when they attended the school’s Fairy Tale Ball.
The event, wrapped up the school’s Parents As Reading Partners Program “Once A PARP A Time,” which encompassed a fairy tale theme according to kindergarten teacher and PARP coordinator Genene Coppola.

“For the last two weeks we have been focusing on fairy tales,” Coppola said. “We even wrote a school fairy tale, with each class adding to the story.”
In honor of the special occasion, female students were adorned in beautiful dresses and tiaras, while Gribbin’s young gentlemen dressed in ties and crowns. The children enjoyed dancing and the princess costumes worn by the school’s PARP coordinators. In addition to the Fairy Tale Ball, Gribbin students enjoyed visits from community readers, a book-a-long and a pajama day as part of the school’s PARP celebration.
