On Saturday, Glen Cove will accept live Christmas tree donations at "Chip-A-Tree" event, which will be used to landscape, beautify the city.

GLEN COVE, NY — Glen Cove residents who haven't yet tossed their live Christmas trees can help beautify the city by donating their trees this Saturday. Glen Cove's Beautification Commission is hosting its annual "Chip-A-Tree" event on Jan. 14 at Morgan Memorial Park.
From 9 a.m. until noon, residents can drop off trees which will be repurposed as landscaping trees to help green the city.
Residents who can't make the event can also drop trees off in the park's parking lot in a designated area, the city said.
