Science Fun in Glen Cove
Fifth-grade students at Connolly School put their scientific skills and knowledge to the test.
Fifth-grade students at Connolly School in Glen Cove put their scientific skills and knowledge to the test during the school’s annual Science Fair.
The fair was a culminating event to the students’ recent science studies on the scientific method, which according to fifth-grade teacher Susan Stanco, included classroom lessons on dissecting hypotheses and the use of different variables.
As part of the learning process, each student was tasked with creating a science project at home and given an opportunity to demonstrate it for classmates and teachers at the fair.
