Tulip Bulb Planting for Breast Cancer Awareness
Glen Covers gather for annual planting in "Garden of Hope."

Residents will gather for the annual "Garden of Hope" pink tulip planting on Saturday Oct. 12.
This health and cancer awareness project was conceived by the late Terry Petikas, founder of Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S. Over 1,000 bulbs are planted each fall so that when the pink tulips bloom in the spring, our community is reminded of the importance of early breast cancer detection.
Volunteers should meet in Village Square at 9:30 a.m.  If possible, please don’t forget to bring your own gardening tools.Â
