“As both advocates and stakeholders, we believe that men are critical allies and should be included in changing the dialogue and landscape of how we approach solutions to critical issues facing women and girls in our local communities,” Stacey Scarpone, executive director of WFLI, said, in a statement.

WFLI, she noted, works to improve the lives of the region’s women and girls on Long Island by “ensuring their health and safety, fostering social and economic justice, providing a means to financial stability, and promoting leadership for the women and girls in our communities.”
The cause is a worthy one, noted Peter Klein, managing director and partner of Klein Wealth Management, who is one of the men being celebrated at the event.
“As the husband and father of strong women, I fully support the incredible efforts of The Women’s Fund of Long Island and believe that women and men need to work together to provide opportunities and solutions for issues facing all women and girls in the region,” he said.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $50 and will be available at the door for $60. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.womensfundli.org
This event is sponsored by North Shore Architectural Stone; spirits supplied by The Village Wine Merchant of Sea Cliff with all proceeds to benefit The Women’s Fund of Long Island.
