Yoga In The Park Comes To Glen Cove

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat.

Attention yogis: Yoga in the Park summer classes will be coming to Glen Cove this summer.

Energy Yoga will include stretching, core strengthening, breathing exercises and energy awareness led by instructor Jenny Lu.

This style of yoga focuses on maximizing the brain’s functions. Benefits include stress relief, weight control, increased flexibility, relaxation and peace of mind.

“Morgan Memorial Park provides a serene and beautiful backdrop for our community to take yoga classes and enrich their mind, body and soul,” Darcy Belyea, Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Director, said in a press release.

There will be six Monday classes that will take place from July 8 to August 13.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. Classes will be held from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the Morgan Memorial Park stage.

The cost of the program is $60. Cash or checks are payable to the City of Glen Cove.

Registration can be done in person or by mail to the City of Glen Cove – Parks & Recreation, 9 Glen St. 2nd Floor, Room 206, Glen Cove. Registration deadline is July 3 and for more information, call the Glen Cove Department of Parks & Recreation at (516) 676-3766.
