Man Punched In Face During Red Hook Robbery, Police Say

The 60-year-old man was walking home when three people stole his wallet and one punched him in the face, police said.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — A man was punched in the face and had his wallet stolen during a robbery by three people while he was walking home, police said.

The 60-year-old victim was walking to his home, near Centre Mall and Bush Street, on Nov. 20 when the three suspects approached him at about 4:25 p.m., the NYPD said.

One of the suspects punched the man in the face while the others removed his wallet from his pant's pocket, authorities said. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The attack left the man with swelling to his face but he refused medical attention, police said.

Police released surveillance photos and descriptions of the robbers on Jan. 6. The first suspect is a 20 to 30 year-old man last seen wearing dark colored jeans, light colored shoes and a blue and white hoodie, authorities said.

The second is a 20 to 30 year-old man last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black jean and black sneakers and a the third a 20 to 30 year-old man last seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark jeans and black and white sneakers, police said.
