Missing 77-Year-Old Red Hook Resident Last Seen Leaving Her Home: NYPD

Barbara Covel, a 77-year-old Red Hook resident, went missing from her home on Aug. 31, the NYPD said.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — A 77-year-old Red Hook resident went missing from her home this past Wednesday, the NYPD said.

Barbara Covel (pictured above) was last seen at 9:30 p.m on Aug. 31 leaving her home, located at 39 Centre Mall.

Detectives describe her as a black female with brown eyes, standing about five feet tall, and weighing approximately 100 pounds.

Barbara was last seen wearing a red jacket, black shoes, a red sweater and tan pants.

Anyone with information on Barbara's whereabouts can confidentially report it using the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers website or by anonymously calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
