Rainbow Building Plan Would Bring Color To Drab Stretch Of Red Hook

Check out this idea for a new office building next to the BQE.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Renderings for a potential new office building in Red Hook from a Brooklyn architecture firm show a colorful building rising in the middle of the industrial neighborhood.

Albo Liberis offered up the renderings — and little else in the way of details — on the firm's website. They show a six-story building complete with a roof top backing up to the BQE.

No building applications have been filed with the city for the property at 150 Mill Street, according to City Realty, which first reported the drawings.

But they show a fanciful idea for an office building in the middle of a rugged stretch of Brooklyn.

The plot is currently occupied by Pilku Construction Services, which specializes in scaffolding, sidewalks and sheds, City Realty reported. But the company sold the land to a mysterious "150 Mill Street, LLC" earlier this year, according to City Realty.
