Town of Red Hook Part Time Plow Truck Driver

Part-time plow truck driver needed for the Town of Red Hook Highway Department. $24.00-$27.00 per hour. This is a call-in position for snow removal, 4-hour minimum shift per call in. Basic requirements are a clean driver’s license (CDL preferred) and at least two years’ experience driving a pick-up truck with plow and sander during winter weather conditions. Must be able to report to the Highway Garage within a half hour from call in and must be available for snow removal weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays, from November 15th until April 1st.

Town of Red Hook Temporary MEO

MEO temporary position in the Town of Red Hook Highway Department. $22.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.  Must have a clean CDL License and a minimum of two years’ experience operating a heavy-duty snow plow with wing and sander.  Responsibilities include performing manual labor in connection with snow removal, highway repair, excavation and construction, loading and unloading of vehicles, transportation of equipment and material, cutting brush and other related activities. Must be on call (without compensation) in order to respond to weather related events and emergencies, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, holidays, nights and weekends, for duration of employment. Must be able to report to work within a half hour of call-in.  A background check and drug testing are required for employment. This position will be filled for an approximate two-to-four-month period, between December and April, depending on Highway Department needs.
