Kensington Considering Allowing Home Offices
A new law is up for public comment.

The Village of Kensington is considering repealing a law that bans the double use of homes as professional offices.
The new law would allow;
Professional offices and studios shall be permitted as an accessory use in legal single-family dwellings in the Village provided the owner obtains a special use permit from the Board of Trustees and complies with the following conditions:

This accessory use is limited to one professional per dwelling, provided that such professional resides in the dwelling in which such office or studio is located.
You can read more about it here. Public comment is being solicited by the Village Sept. 10, and can be submitted to villageclerk@villageofkensingtonny.gov Comments will be considered at the Sept. 19 board of trustees meeting.
