On the night that we passed the New York State budget, I spoke on the Senate floor about important aspects of the budget including $1 billion in addition state funding for education as well as the pension smoothing plan that will allow school districts and local governments to opt into the program and realize immediate savings for taxpayers.
Sen. Jack Martins is the representative of New York's Seventh Senatorial District. He was elected to the State Senate in 2010 as a Republican from Mineola.
