Nassau Police: Unattended Laptops Stolen, Gym Lockers Burglarized

Nassau County Police report on grand larceny and petit larceny incidents in the region.

Nassau County Police reported the following information. Charges are accusations and do not imply guilt.

  • March 3: John Davis, 19, of Copiague, charged with grand larceny at Xsport Fitness in Massapequa. Davis allegedly stole wallet from man’s duffel bag as he played basketball, cops said.
  • March 9: Samantha Marks, 31, of the Bronx, charged with grand larceny after shoplifting at Macy’s in Manhasset.
  • March 5: LA Fitness, North New Hyde Park; car damaged, items stolen from car.
  • March 7: LA Fitness, North New Hyde Park; cash stolen from wallet locked in gym locker.
  • March 8: Waldbaums, Great Neck; pocketbook stolen.
  • March 8: Undisclosed location, Mineola; wallet stolen.

Petit Larceny

  • March 2: Barnes & Noble, Carle Place; unattended laptop and briefcase stolen.
  • March 5: The Gap, Manhasset; two unknown men in dark clothing and dark hats stole items from store in white bag.
  • March 6: Apple Store, Manhasset; iPhone taken from bathroom after being left unattended.
  • March 7: Garden Place, West Hempstead; resident’s wallet stolen by another in group home while she slept.
  • March 8: Game Stop, Massapequa; unknown man stole four PS4 games from behind a counter.
  • March 9: Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont; unattended laptop stolen while owner was in restroom.
