'Shed The Meds' Event Held In Great Neck On Oct. 24
Residents can get rid of sharps — as well as leftover, unwanted, and expired prescription drugs — in Great Neck on Sunday, Oct. 24.
GREAT NECK, NY — Officials in Great Neck are offering a safe and anonymous way for residents to get rid of sharps, as well as leftover, unwanted, and expired prescription drugs.
The Great Neck Water Pollution Control District is teaming up with a number of organizations, including the Nassau County Police Department, to host "Shed the Meds" — a contactless drive-thru event on Sunday, Oct. 24.
From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., residents can drop off sharps and pharmaceutical waste at the district's headquarters at 236 East Shore Rd.
