Steinway Pianos Will Relocate To Manhasset From Melville
Steinway & Sons, the high-end piano manufacturer, wants a more visible showroom to appeal to a wider range of consumers, sources say.
MANHASSET, NY — The iconic piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons will relocate their Melville showroom to Manhasset, sources report.
The new Steinway retail showroom will open in early 2023 at 1488 Northern Blvd., a spokesperson for the Queens company told Newsday this week.
The move comes as part of an effort to expand the visibility of the high-end piano brand to a wider audience and a younger demographic, he said. The new Manhasset location will offer proximity to more luxury brands, the company hopes.

Steinway & Sons was founded in 1853. A Steinway grand piano can cost anywhere from $70,000 to $150,000.

The new Manhasset showroom will have 2,754 square feet, Newsday reports.
