Tylenol Brand Recalled from CVS Stores

Some stores will no longer carry the pain reliever.

If you pop in to CVS looking for Tylenol and can no longer find a bottle, the reason might be more complicated than your branch simply selling out.

The drugstore chain has changed how it stocks Tylenol at its stores in the wake of manufacturing problems at the drug's maker, Johnson & Johnson, that have disrupted supplies for more than three years, the New York Daily News reports.

Under the new plan, CVS will try to have Tylenol in stores in each market, but will "not have it in every store," spokesman Michael DeAngelis told The News.

Pharmacists say that the CVS brand equivalent is still available in stores, as is many other over-the-counter medications that address the same issues.
