Vigilant Fire Co. Warns of Phone Scam

The Vigilant Fire Company is warning Great Neck residents of a phone scam seeking donations in the name of the volunteer firehouse. 

A solicitation in the name of the "Great Neck Fire Safety Program" is a fraud, according to Vigilant.

“Please know that this program does not exist,” the fire company said on Facebook. “There is no such thing in Great Neck.” 

The firehouse found out about the scam after residents asked about the phone calls. Vigilant said it does not solicit by phone.
